Job of the month June 2020

What a surprise for the owners of this house, discovered some water coming up through the timber flooring around the island bench in the kitchen.  Bit more investigation found the culprit to be the under-bench water filter which had been leaking for some time, lucky the Custom Dry team had the skills and equipment to rectify this.

First the floorboards were removed allowing access to clean up the water and debris then the slab was sanitised due to the timeframe it has been wet.

Next the equipment was rolled in with three fans with Drymatic boost bars and mats connected to direct the heat straight onto the slab.  A couple of dehumidifiers were placed to control the room temperature, this was later change to a Drymatic II which is better suited for this application.

Added a few more mats to increase the surface area covered and speed up the drying process and with an additional air mover.  The Drymatic II exhaust was vented to the exhaust fan hole in the bathroom at ensure this was removed from the kitchen area.

Great work Alexx and thanks for taking the time to record the video and sharing this job with the group.
