Video of the month - March 2024

In this commendable restoration project, Levi demonstrates ingenuity and resourcefulness in tackling the challenge of drying the subfloor of a two-story home. Despite the absence of mats, Levi effectively implements a creative solution to address the issue. By strategically deploying plastic containment sections over the affected areas both above and below the floor, Levi minimises the spread of moisture and ensures focused drying. Leveraging Drymatic Hoses connected to Drymatic Fans, Levi directs heated air into Drymatic Boost Bars, precisely targeting the affected areas for optimal drying efficiency. This innovative approach showcases Levi's adaptability and expertise in the restoration field, resulting in effective moisture remediation and a successful outcome for the project.

Photo Job of the month - March 2024

In our March Photo Job of the Month, we witness the collaborative efforts of two restoration companies as they confront the aftermath of a significant flooding incident at a regional hospital caused by a burst 6-inch hydrant. This mammoth undertaking involves addressing various areas where water intrusion has occurred, requiring a diverse array of equipment combinations to restore building materials to a dry standard.

In the first room, the team has removed floor coverings and strategically positioned the Drymatic II in the centre to circulate heated air and exhaust moisture. Multiple fans are strategically placed around the room, with one directed into a Drymatic Boost to inflate Drymatic mats along the wall. This setup facilitates the penetration of micro jets of energy into materials, releasing bound moisture and raising the surface temperature.

Moving to a smaller room, floor coverings have been similarly removed, with a Trotec Dehumidifier deployed to extract moisture from the air while Drymatic Fans circulate air within the space.

In an exterior room where floor coverings and wall linings have been stripped, exposing timber framing, another dehumidifier operates to remove moisture from the air. A Drymatic fan connected to a Drymatic Boost Bar circulates heated air via a 3-port attachment, directing hoses to various mats in the room to inflate them. This allows the heat to penetrate the timber framing, releasing bound water and aiding in the drying process.

Despite the inherent challenges, limitations, and complexities of the job, the collaborative efforts of the two companies have yielded impressive results. Their resourcefulness and utilisation of available equipment underscore their dedication to delivering exceptional restoration outcomes, even in the face of adversity.
