Drymatic Boost Bar

BRAD GOW | TOTAL MID COAST RESTORATION| Port Macquarie – NSW

Job of the month - April 2021

A burst water pipe caused havoc in this two-storey home; the upper-level timber floor was set up with a Drymatic Boost Bar with Drymatic Mats to target heat dry the area. Downstairs the ceiling had fallen due to the escaped water; dehumidification was used along with air movers to dry the area. The air temperature upstairs was increased to over 35 degrees and above 40 degrees on the boards. This enabled the moisture to evaporate from the boards and remove the bound moisture.

The boost bar and mats were mainly used at night because the customer had to use the area during the day. As the mats are light, they were quickly picked up and reset each day; however, the downstairs setup stayed on the whole time.

Drymatic mats dry timber flooring by creating micro jets of energy to break the boundary layer to release moisture from the floor. The numerous holes on the underside of each mat provide an extremely efficient and effective method of delivering hot, dry air directly to the wet materials.
