Drymatic dries it all

Alexx Taylor – Custom Dry

Job of the month October 2019

Our October job of the month winner is Alexx Taylor from Custom Dry in Newcastle.

The not so old washing machine hose was the culprit for this job, got to love the plastic fittings that keep many a restoration business busy.  The owner was home so got to it quick, but the water still managed to affect the laundry, hallway and the rumpus room.

Alexx and the team got straight to work firstly isolating the ground floor of the two-storey property with a Curtainwall module to block the stair entry and stop the precious dry air escaping, so easy and simple to setup every van should have them.

Next in line was setting up the Drymatic II to remove wet air from the affected area and exhausting it out the laundry window.  The intakes of the Drymatic II are shared between the rumpus room and hallway.

The wet concrete subfloor in the rumpus room is treated with 2 air movers connected to 2 Drymatic boost bars and 3 3x2m Drymatic Floor mats which gives good coverage and speeds up the drying process.

In the hallway another air mover and Drymatic boost bar are connected to a wall mat to dry the timber framing and with the setup done, they just had to sit back and monitor.

Another great restoration setup by the team at Custom Dry and thanks to Alexx for sharing this job with the group and awesome commentary explaining the setup.
