October 2023 Drymatic Winners of the Month

Darrell Combrick – Kiwi Carpet Cleaning (NZ)

New Post Job of the month - October 2023

American oak timber directly glued. A big congratulations to Darrell, our inaugural recipient of the New Post Job of the Month award. We're truly impressed by the effort he has put into detailing the intricacies of his job. The challenge presented itself when an upstairs tap was mistakenly left on in the master ensuite, causing damage to two different timber floor areas. Darrell's expertise shines through in his dual approach. For the upstairs cowry timber floor, he's harnessed the power of a Drymatic Boost system connected to a mat, delivering effective heat output. On the lower level, where newly laid American Oak flooring is glued down, Darrell has wisely established a containment zone and implemented a Drymatic II for introducing fresh air and extracting moisture. Overcoming power constraints, he's ingeniously employed fans, coupled with Drymatic Boost and mats, to create microjets of energy, effectively raising surface temperatures and facilitating the release of bound water from the flooring. Additionally, a Boost system with a 5-port configuration has been utilized to access the confined space under the kitchen cabinetry. Kudos to our skilled Kiwi friends for this outstanding job!

Shaun Conman & Luke Howard – ReAssured Restorations

Video Job of the month - September 2023

Hats off to Shaun Conman, our well-deserving winner for the month of October! In his insightful video, we witness a meticulously executed restoration process. Shaun has effectively contained the affected area and performed the essential task of removing water-damaged materials. His method involves deploying an air mover, channelled into a Drymatic Boost Bar, and further distributed through a 3-port setup into Drymatic mats. This strategic arrangement effectively targets all the timber framing. Using mats, Shaun is able to direct heat precisely into the timber, resulting in a remarkable 10-degree surface temperature increase. This elevated temperature allows the bound water to be released from the materials. Notably, the contained area has been smartly placed under neutral pressure, with a dehumidifier working diligently to extract the moisture-laden air. To ensure the highest air quality, an air cleaner has been employed to eliminate contaminants from the workspace.

Kyle Jones – Abril Building Solutions

Photo Job of the month - October 2023

In the winning photo for the Job of the Month, Kyle's exceptional setup is on full display, showcasing both his professionalism and the consideration for the customer who still resides in the space. He's expertly placed a containment zone and strategically incorporated air movers, which feed into a Drymatic Boost system connected to mats that are neatly suspended with containment poles. Kyle has also added a Drymatic II for effective exhaust of moist air from the containment area. The Drymatic mats, a vital component, introduce heat and microjets of energy into the timber framing and gyprock, facilitating the release of bound water and contributing to a successful drying solution. Kyle's diligence and precision are commendable, making this setup a standout example of best practices in the industry.
