Sealing in the Heat with Drymatic Wall Mats

Jase Gooley - RNS Cleaning and Restoration, Bathurst NSW

Job of the month November 2020

For the month of November we have selected a quick job by Jase Gooley from RNS Cleaning and Restoration.

The cause of this particular job was a breached shower copper pipe. The water created mould inside the wall cavity and had to be removed. Once the walls had been removed the equipment was setup and ready for some heat drying.

From the video we can see an air movers connected to Drymatic Boost bars and wall mats taped up against the wall cavity.

The idea here was to tape it up, seal it in and really lock in the energy to heat up the wall cavity. As we energise it up we could also use something like an air scrubber on the other side of the wall to suck out the wet air and exhaust it into the main area to get rid of the moisture.

As we heat up the wall with the Drymatic wall mats are able to break the boundary layer on the wall and release the moisture. The wet air can then be sucked out to optimise the drying process.

No matter what job you are on the Drymatic heat drying equipment is the innovative solution for any water damage restoration job. There are no limits to what the equipment can do, especially with a little bit of imagination.
